SEC commissioner says authorities should not pressure cryptoinvestors

Esther Pearce of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) advocates for sensible regulation of the blockchain industry.

The SEC commissioner has been advocating for the industry for the past several years and urging U.S. leaders to legalize the digital asset market as soon as possible.

“Cryptomama,” as Esther Pearce is known in the blockchain community, spoke at the Australian Blockchain Week conference and reiterated her position.

She reiterated that the industry needs a reasonable regulatory framework. Every investor should have the right to choose.

The state must ensure that citizens are protected. However, it has no right to impose any restrictions on people who want to buy bitcoin or other virtual currency.

Esther Pearce again criticized the SEC policy and called on the U.S. authorities to review the methods of assessing the situation in the cryptosphere and make them more lenient.
