Mastercard and Visa announced that they will stop issuing Binance cryptocurrencies

Within the framework of partnership with leading payment systems Mastercard and Visa, bitcoin exchange Binance offered users to issue crypto-cards for payments.

The first such cards appeared in September 2020, with Visa becoming the issuer and MasterCard joining later.

However, MasterCard will stop issuing such a product for Binance users from September 2023. In July, the issuance of cryptocurrencies was stopped by Visa, according to Bloomberg.

According to journalists, the largest bitcoin exchange may lose some customers. In the press service of Binance emphasized that the risks to the company’s business are minimal.

The decision of payment systems to stop issuing cryptocurrencies will affect less than 1% of users from Latin America and the Middle East.

The rest will be able to use such cards as usual
