Hackers stole $343 million worth of digital currencies in November

The majority of hacker attacks in the cryptosphere were on the decentralized funding marketplace DeFi.

ImmuneFi research says that the total amount of funds in digital currencies stolen in November was $343.038 million.

Digital assets were stolen by hacking protocols and defrauding users.

November marked the third time in 2023 that the amount of stolen cryptocurrencies exceeded $300 million. In July and September, tokens worth $320.5 million and $340.4 million, respectively, fell prey to cybercriminals.

The most affected were projects deployed in ethereum and Binance Chain networks.

Optimism, Avalanche, Fantom, Arbitrum and Heco Chain blockchains were affected to a lesser extent.

In October, Immunefi published a report on hacker activity in the third quarter of 2023.

It said the number of attacks on Web3 projects and services for token storage and exchange increased 153% to 76.
