US presidential candidate Donald Trump recognizes Americans’ growing interest in digital currencies.
In an interview with Fox News in February, he said that more and more of his compatriots prefer to use bitcoin to pay for goods and services.
The politician plans to speak at the Bitcoin 2024 conference, which opens July 27 in Nashville, Bloomberg reports. Thus, Trump expects to attract to his side business oriented to the cryptosphere and U.S. citizens who have not yet decided for whom they will vote, but support the development of fintech.
Recently, Trump held talks with representatives of mining companies and spoke in favor of the expansion of this sector.
According to the politician, if the US retains the status of the largest bitcoin miner, the country will remain a technological and financial superpower.
Bloomberg previously also reported that Donald Trump communicated with billionaire Ilon Musk.
The topic of the talks was not officially disclosed, but according to sources, crypto regulation was one of the main areas of the talks.
