Tether holds more than $86 billion in assets

Tether Holdings Limited reported in early August an increase in its reserves by $850 million. Thus, the excess reserves of the USDT stablecoin issuer reached $3.3 billion.

At the end of last week, the company published a financial report, from which it follows that as of August 25, Tether’s reserves amounted to $3.29 billion.

The total amount of liabilities to investors is $82.8 billion, and the size of assets under management of the company reaches $86.1 billion.

Thus, the management of Tether has once again confirmed that the USDT issuer is able to fulfill its obligations in full to each holder of the stablecoin.

USDT is based on 15 blockchains. Solana leads the way with $1.57 billion worth of tokens placed, followed by etherium and Tron with $617 million and $353 million, respectively.

The company recently announced that it will refuse to issue steblicoins on the Omni, Kusama and Bitcoin Cash networks due to lack of investor demand.

Tether also issues tokens pegged to gold, the Mexican peso, the euro and the Chinese yuan.
