About 20% of Americans have invested in digital currencies

The number of cryptocurrency holders in the world is gradually growing. However, the rate of its adoption remains low due to the repressive policies of regulators and the volatility of the innovative instrument.

The Coinbase exchange recently surveyed more than 2,000 American adults and found that 20% of them have already invested in virtual currencies. These respondents admitted that they hadn’t even sold coins in 2022, when the market was dominated by negative sentiment.

76% of respondents recognized the gigantic potential of blockchain technology.

Coinbase also found that roughly 80% of U.S. residents believe the global financial system cannot continue to evolve without reform.

Sixty-seven percent of respondents were in favor of transforming the global payment infrastructure as soon as possible.

The researchers emphasized that Stablecoins are the most popular among Americans because such digital currencies are tied to the dollar.
